I’m your writing coach, proofreader, and editor. More than that, I’m your greatest fan—your mentor, ally, cheerleader, confidante, and accountability partner on your writing journey. With more than 30 years of experience and education, I’m here to put my expertise to work for you.
I’m here to be your guide on your writing journey—whether you’re an aspiring author or a student crafting their college admissions and scholarship essays. I’ve worked with clients from all walks of life and help them wherever they are in the writing process, whether they’re in initial idea stage, final draft, or somewhere in between. Jackie of Many Trades
My varied experiences have prepared me to help you in unique and important ways. As a college composition instructor, I’ve fine-tuned my abilities to be a coach, mentor, and confidante to writers of all backgrounds. And we all learn differently and look at the world differently, right? So you can count on me to meet you where you are and get you where you want to be.
This teacher is also a publisher. Over the last three decades, years, I’ve been part of LIVE Publishing in Cleveland, OH, collaborating with a wide array of clients and artists to turn raw ideas into beautifully crafted, compelling publications. So I’m experienced in the entire publishing process—from concept to finished product.

Passion for Learning
I received my BA in English Education and my MA in English from the University of Illinois and am a passionate lifelong learner. I keep up with the latest trends and best practices on writing and publishing, which I love sharing with my clients. Some of the most valuable insights I’ve gained have come from engaging with professional organizations like ACES: The Society for Editing, Editorial Freelancers Association, and Women in Publishing.
Best of all, I get to learn as much from my writers as they do from me.
I call that a win-win.
Interesting Tidbits About Me
When I’m not working, you’ll find me indulging in my love of historical fiction and memoir. Or I’m volunteering with local organizations helping to empower and care for those in need. In my downtime, you may find me enjoying a local museum, binging movies, or getting into nature to recharge. And I get to be the mom of three grown children and Gigi to two of the most amazing grandchildren.
Lesser-known facts? I can wiggle my ears and love drumming. I currently own a snare, djembe, and maracas (among other toys) and enjoy playing them whenever I can.
